Hello,

Anyone still using MagicMAC?
I'd like some advices for the installation, I have a Powerbook 520c with
a working floppy unit.
But how can I copy file from my PC?

The PowerBook should have a SCSI squared connector on the back side.

But how can I copy file from my PC?

There's a kind of SCSI cable, squared at one side, and 50 pin SCSI at
the other end. This cable should allow you to connect a SCSI Iomega
drive, that is also available with the parallel or USB port on the
PC. You can transfer all the stuff with a ZIP drive from Mac to PC.

That's what I found: a 30pins to DB25 converter to use the ZIP.
Wainting for it, I found some useful programs as:
- TransMAC
- Stuffit.

And yet, I copied some old games on the MAC, but I'll have to use the
ZIP to copy the MagicMAC emulator.

Can you precise how does it work for TOS files? Does it need a
partition? Or just a folder?

With "PC Access", if the ZIP drive support is DOS formated, you
just have to copy any kind of PC or Mac files, from a system to
the other. Because TOS files are neither PC nor Mac formats, it
will be recognized without translation, on both PC and Mac, easy !

The main point is to copy files "ATARI as they are" on a FAT32
file system, that will be recognized with the two OSes. With
"PC Access" extension, the Macintosh is able to read DOS formated
ZIP. You should add the extension to the Finder. The DOS formated
ZIP is recognized under Windows. You have just to copy files, simply.
