Ho yes. I know, because I just updated the 3.21 firmware on my PS3 Slim.
I'm wondering how many PlayStation 3 owners ran ARAnyM on their machine.

Anyway, we are looking forward to have an unofficial GNU / Linux hosted
with PlayStation 3. I'm deeply convinced that the Linux adventure will
not stop like that on the nextgen hardware. You know that GNU / Linux
started on the PC hardware with the hostility from the whole IT market.

Finally Apple that was so reluctant, completely adopted free software.
PS3 developers were totally stuck with Sony's NDA, but now it's clear.
It's just a point to know if the Cell CPU will spread or finish selling.

I imagine that next developers will not have to cope with hypervisor and
all the restrictive protections Sony took against system's developers.

Anyway, if the PPC code included in the *miniPack* is not useful for
PlayStation 3 owners, it can always run with PPC-Linux hosted boxes.
The PowerPC version, even if it's built on PS3, is binary compatible.

ATARIstically yours =)
