Hi,

I added some things on my page, more photos and some links.
Then I will talk about the performances. The TT, even accelerated, is
far behind (for example when reading an MPEG/DVD file).

Nice one.
Looks like my setup with the PSU on one side & CTPCI on the other.
My storage in the middle is my SD adapter.

I was thinking about an SD or CF card instead of the hard disk to
reduce the noise.

Can you confirm that a IDE-CF adapter will work as a hard drive with
nothing else to do on the Falcon?

Are there performance differences between a CF and a HDD ?

I replaced the 40GB 2.5" hard drive for a 4GB CF in my Falcon and it is
working perfectly well with a low cost IDE-CF adapter (a couple of euros).

For me, not with the HDD it replaces, but that one was probably not that
fast. You can see the performance of my CF card with the Kronos file I've
sent you a few weeks ago.

Okay!
And are there tools on the PC to read/write to the CF?

Yes, I got it! Your CF is far better than my old IDE HD.
So, that's a good point.
Are there different CF cards? With better speed than others?

Well, I would suppose that if there are on the Atari, there must be on PCs
:-) But I haven't tried to read the card on another computer.

I think there are, but you'll find better answers here:
